Democrat Kelly Mazeski Releases 1st TV Ad

Kelly Mazeski is the first candidate in IL-06 to make a substantial and sustained media buy in the Democratic primary to take on Congressman Peter Roskam in November.

The TV ad highlights Kelly’s healthcare story that made a national splash when she announced her campaign on the same day Peter Roskam and the Republicans in Congress voted to raise premiums and co-pays, gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and strip coverage from millions of Americans. Roskam even went as far as touting Trumpcare as a “good bill.”

When you’re sick, you learn who your real friends are.
Like my friend Sara, who wrote me every day while I was fighting breast cancer.
Last year, Donald Trump showed us, that when it comes to health care, he’s nobody’s friend.
I’m Kelly Mazeski and I’m running for Congress to stop Trump’s dangerous plan that hurts millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions and forces us to pay more for less care.
I approve this message, because real friends know everyone deserves good health care.

Mazeski is a scientist, a breast cancer survivor and the mother of a daughter with a pre-existing condition who is running for Congress to hold Peter Roskam and Donald Trump accountable for making Americans pay more and get less for their health insurance. She will fight for a public option that lets people buy into Medicare, take on Trump’s dangerous attacks on the environment, and help lead the fight against climate change.

Since announcing her campaign on May 4th, Kelly has been endorsed by EMILY’s List, Congresswomen Jan Schakowsky (IL-09), Cheri Bustos (IL-17), Debbie Dingell (MI-12), and Lois Frankel (FL-21), the Illinois Democratic County Chairman’s Association, the Feminist Majority PAC, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, 19 environmental leaders, and most recently the Chicago Sun-Times.
